‘Zoffany’s Daughter: Love and Treachery on a Small Island’

Congratulations to Stephen Foster on the publication of his new book (in Australia by South Solitary Press and in the UK by Blue Ormer Publishing). It tells the story of Cecilia Zoffany, daughter of a famous artist, and her struggle to maintain custody of her 11-year-old daughter on Guernsey in 1825. The book crosses historical genres, and explores the relationship between history and fiction. It is available only through selected bookshops and through zoffanysdaughter.com, where Alan Atkinson and Ann Curthoys say more about the book.
