Workshop, ‘All History is History of the Present: The Craft of Environmental History Now’

Flinders University City Campus, Adelaide, Friday 5 July 2024, 9.00am to 4.00pm ACST

The Centre for the Study of the Inland (La Trobe University), the Centre for Environmental History (ANU) and the Planetary Health Humanities project (University of Sydney) are pleased to announce a workshop for environmental historians at all career stages to critically consider how we practice our discipline responsibly in a time of planetary ecological crisis. This workshop is intended to help us think through the challenges and opportunities currently facing environmental history. We will consider the political implications of our practice, our role as participant-observers, and our responsibilities to the communities and places within which we work. This workshop, scheduled to immediately follow the 2024 AHA Conference, is convened by Lilian Pearce, Ruth Morgan and James Dunk.

Expressions of Interest are due 12 April 2024
