Congratulations to AHA member Romain Fathi, who has been awarded one of the Solemn Prizes from Chancellery of Paris’ Universities. Each year, fifty Solemn Prizes are awarded to early career researchers on the basis of academic excellence and the contribution of a thesis to its discipline. Romain’s was granted for his PhD thesis, ‘”Do not forget Australia”: Australian War Memorialisation at Villers-Bretonneux’, which was jointly awarded by the University of Queensland and Sciences Po, Paris (one of the twenty-three universities which fall under the Chancellery’s authority).
