On behalf of the AHA Executive Committee, I wish all members a happy and rewarding new year. 2024 is set to be another busy year for our Association. As usual, we can look forward to our annual conference, which will be hosted by Alessandro Antonello and his colleagues at Flinders University from 1 to 4 July. In addition to our usual advocacy, outreach and engagement, the AHA will embark this year on a number of new initiatives, including a research project to investigate the status of book publishing in the Australian historical profession, and a new AHA webpage for sharing expertise and experience from history classrooms at level of the Australian education sector, helmed by Nancy Cushing and Kristyn Harman. We can also look forward to celebrating the work of our hardworking Executive Committee members, and to welcoming a new Committee at our AGM in July.
