The current editors are pleased to announce the inaugural Marian Quartly Prize (previous the Taylor and Francis prize) for the best article published in History Australia in a calendar year. The editors approached Taylor and Francis, who fund the prize, with the proposed change of name to honour the first editor of History Australia and they were thrilled by the suggestion.
The winner for 2018 is Frances Steel for ‘Servant mobilities between Fiji and New Zealand: the transcolonial politics of domestic work and immigration restriction, c 1870-1920’, published in History Australia Volume 15, issue 3, 2018.
