This award honours the outstanding contribution to humanities scholarship, the Australian Academy of the Humanities, and the cultural life of the nation of John Mulvaney. The award supports the research activities of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander early career researchers and PhD candidates working in any area of the humanities.
