Congratulations to Phillip Deery and Sheila Fitzpatrick on the publication of their edited collection Russians in Cold War Australia (Lexington Books). The book explores the time during the Cold War when Russian displaced persons, including former Soviet citizens, were amongst the hundreds of thousands of immigrants given assisted passage to Australia and other Western countries in the wake of the Second World War. In addition to Phillip and Sheila, AHA members Ruth Balint, Ellen Gray, Justine Greenwood, Ebony Nilsson, Jayne Persian, Mara Moustafine and Nicholas Pitt are among the contributors.
