Congratulations to AHA Postgraduate Representative Ruby Ekkel, winner of Australian Historical Studies’ 2023 Ken Inglis Postgraduate Prize for her essay ‘Thrills! And More Thrills!!” The Meanings of a Bushwalk with the Melbourne Women’s Walking Club, 1922-1945′. The judges celebrated this paper’s ‘vivid narrative’ and ‘deep research’, describing it as an example of ‘the analytic potential of social history at its best’.
