The latest DECRAs (Australian Research Council Discovery Early Career Research Award) were announced this week. Congratulations to Sophie Loy-Wilson, Billy Griffiths and Laura Rademaker for their successful projects. There was a 20% success rate this round. The AHA acknowledges the significant work that went into all applications. We commiserate with our ECR members who missed out and remind you that success with these grants is no reflection on yourselves as historians or your scholarship but reflects a lack of adequate funding for the humanities and an element of luck.
