Australian Catholic University, Proposed Cuts

Last week, the Australian Catholic University announced its plan to significantly reduce its staffing and resources across all humanities disciplines, including history. This proposal affects many AHA members whose valued contribution to our organisation has included the hosting of our 50th anniversary conference in July, and the editing of History Australia. The AHA expresses its dismay at the proposed cuts, and implores the ACU to reverse its decision, which can only be interpreted as an attack on history and the humanities more broadly.
