Shurlee Swain (and Johanna Sköld) are editors of Apologies and the Legacy of Abuse of Children in ‘Care’: International Perspectives (Palgrave Macmillan) which examines the inquiries into the historical abuse of children in care that have proliferated across Western countries over the last 20 years, positioning them as a new area within the field of transitional justice. A number of Australian historians are among the contributors including Frank Golding.
