AHA2018 ‘The Scale of History’: keynote speakers confirmed

The AHA2018 keynote speakers have all been confirmed and it is an exciting line-up: Professor Clare Anderson (University of Leicester, UK), who works on colonialism and colonial societies across the British Empire and is currently directing the European Research Council funded project ‘The Carceral Archipelago’ (2013-2018); Professor Mark McKenna (University of Sydney), author of several prize-winning books, including his most recent, From the Edge: Australia’s Lost Histories, which won the 2017 NSW Premier’s Australian History Prize; and Professor Mary D. Lewis (Robert Walton Goelet Professor of French History at Harvard) whose current project, ‘The First French Decolonization: A New History of 19th-century Empire’, examines the transformation of France’s Atlantic empire after the loss of Saint-Domingue. And, of course, we have the Presidential Address from Professor Lynette Russell (Monash University).
