The AHA welcomes this Consultation Curriculum Review as an opportunity to reflect on the
critical role of a history education for Australian students. A History education – and its basic goal, the achievement of historical literacy – needs to be treated with the same seriousness of purpose as Maths, Science, English and other core subjects.
