Michael L Ondaatje (with Anthony J Barker) has just published A Little America in Western Australia: The US Naval Communication Station at North West Cape and the Founding of Exmouth (UWAP Scholarly). This history investigates the significance of North West Cape for Australian–US relations and Australian politics, and examines the social and political history of the town of Exmouth that was uniquely created to support the base.
