National Archives of Australia/Australian Historical Association Postgraduate Scholarships 2024

The AHA is delighted to announce the recipients of the 2024 NAA/AHA Postgraduate Scholarships. There was a threefold increase in the volume of applications for these Scholarships this year, a testament to the breadth and vision of inquiry that postgraduate students are undertaking in and on Australia. The recipients are:

  • Megan Graham (University of Leeds) – Justice and Wellness: Health Activism and Racial Empowerment in Late Twentieth Century Indigenous Australia
  • Christina Sigrid Schlaich (University of Freiburg im Breisgau) – Media and International Relations: Observations on the Trajectories of an Entangled Relationship by using the Example of the New International Food Policy (1910s-1940s)
  • Jesse Seeborg-Gordon (University of Melbourne) – On the diplomatic Sidelines: A Study of Australian-Soviet Relations
  • Stephanie Shon (University of Oxford) – Power, Identity, Capital: The Australian Art Music Field 1960s-1990s

The Australian Historical Association congratulates this year’s recipients and remains delighted with the continuing success of this program and the cooperation or our partner, the National Archives of Australia. The projects will extend public understanding of this country’s history and the digitisation of the relevant records will benefit future researchers.
