Whether you see the historian’s primary role as researcher, story-teller, polemicist, or data-analyst, writing remains a central part of investigating the past. What histories are you writing, how, why, and for whom? We warmly invite proposals from postgraduates for twenty minute papers on the following themes, or any other history-related topic: Public histories Writing for a broad audience Writing with non-written sources: oral histories, deep time history, archaeology Digital humanities & writing history This two-day conference will provide the opportunity for postgraduate researchers from across Australia, and beyond, to share their investigations of the past and the ways in which they write about these.
