UNSW is seeking a research assistant to conduct archival and desktop research on an ARC Discovery Indigenous project titled ‘Governing Aboriginal Self-Determination in NSW’ led by Gomeroi Professor and historian Heidi Norman. The position is based in Sydney with options for flexible work arrangements, and opportunities for mentorship and career advancement within a majority Indigenous research group at UNSW. Prospective candidates should have an Honours degree or equivalent qualification in history, Indigenous studies, anthropology, government and/or related disciplines. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander researchers are strongly encouraged to apply.
