15-16 February 2023, ANU Gender Institute, Australian National University
This workshop considers histories and stories of queer migration, travel and displacement. It will address questions such as: Where are the histories and stories of queer travel, migration, and displacement? Who counts? What ethical considerations do we need to consider when working with marginalised queer people on the subject of travel, migration, and forcible displacement? How do we create counter archives of queer travel and resistance? The workshop will also feature a book launch and panel discussion featuring Renee Dixson, Churnjeet Mahn and Marianna Polevikova.
