This prize has been established with an incredibly generous donation from Professor Marilyn Lake. The biennial prize of $2000 will be awarded by the Australian Historical Association for the best book in Australian transnational history. It will be awarded to a book whose transnational methodology and original scholarship – including preferably research undertaken in overseas archives – open new perspectives on and generate new knowledge about Australian history in any of its phases.
Full details of the prize conditions and 2023 Prize application process will be available shortly.
