History Council of South Australia, Fellows Lecture

The History Council of SA welcomes attendees to its HCSA Fellows lecture evening, where the current HCSA Fellows will present their sponsored research. Maggi Boult, 2023 Fellow, will discuss ‘Settler Health in Early South Australia, 1836 – 1856’. The 2024 Fellow Dr Alice Neikirk will speak about ‘Police Matrons (and Their Advocates) in South Australia’. The 2024 Recipient of the Highly Recommended Prize, Angela Gurr, will focus on her work to combine historical records and archaeological methods to enhance identification of individuals in unmarked graves and increase understanding of their lifestyle challenges.
