Congratulations to Mary Tomsic who has supported young South Sudanese Australians from refugee backgrounds to make short videos about their lives, the future and their experiences.

Congratulations to Mary Tomsic, who, as part of the ARC Kathleen Fitzpatrick Laureate Research Project into the History of Child Refugees in Australia (University of Melbourne), has collaborated with Kids’ Own Publishing in supporting young South Sudanese Australians from refugee backgrounds from regional Victoria to make short videos about their lives, the future and their experiences. Some of these young people have published personal stories and artwork when they were primary school students in the book Donkeys Can’t Fly on Planes (2012). As young adults now they want to share new stories and experiences publicly – the videos were launched this week.
