The NSW Parliament will be hosting a special two-day conference to explore and discuss the origins of Australia’s first legislature and Supreme Court. The conference will feature esteemed historians, experts and authors, with each session exploring different facets of the NSW Act and its impact, alongside broader stories from the colony at the time. Speakers include AHA President Frank Bongiorno AM, Stephen Garton AM, Lisa Ford, Anne Twomey, Chief Justice Andrew Bell, and Justices Virginia Bell and Keith Mason, and more.
