Stuart Macintyre and Les Louis (along with historians Glenn Mitchell, Drew Cottle, Greg Mallory and curator of the Nanjing Massacre Memorial Zhu ChengShan) were contributors to the documentary The Dalfram Dispute,1938: Pig Iron Bob which covers the wartime dock dispute at Port Kembla during which Robert Menzies gained the moniker ‘Pig Iron Bob’.
The documentary was shortlisted for the 2015 NSW Premiere’s Multimedia History Prize and is a finalist in the 15th Screen Producers Association of Australia Awards for feature documentary.
It has been screened around Australia and in China (at Nanjing University on 25 September) and will be broadcast on the History Channel on 15 November 2015.
