This position is part of collaboration between History, Philosophy, Social Science and Medicine. The position will be located in the Department of History in the School of Philosophical and Historical Inquiry at the University of Sydney. The appointee will work with Chief Investigator Professor Warwick Anderson and collaborators to applying humanities or social science methods to the analysis of biomedical science and health policy.
The applicant will advance science and technology studies in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the same time as engage with scientists at the Charles Perkins Centre (CPC) in their studies of chronic disease and metabolic disorders. The successful candidate would be expected to contribute to the politics, governance and ethics theme of the CPC.
The successful applicant will:
- Work alongside internationally renowned experts in the field
- Contribute to applying humanities or social sciences to the analysis of biomedical science and health policy
- Full-time, fixed-term position for 3 years (with possible extension for a further 12 months subject to funding and need), Academic Level A, salary $92K-$98K p.a. plus leave loading and generous superannuation
