New Australian Policy and History Brief – Honae Cuffe and Anna Kent

New Australian Policy and History (APH) website Policy Brief

In Australian Policy and History’s latest policy brief, PhD students Honae Cuffe and Anna Kent write about the use of Australian ‘soft power’ in the Asia Pacific. The brief contains excellent advice for the Minister for Foreign Affairs and the Minister for Communications and the Arts about how Australian broadcasting services can be better used to build positive relationships in the Asia-Pacific. If you would like to write a public service-style briefing note about an issue of contemporary policy that relates to your historical research, please contact APH. Briefing contributions or opinion pieces are welcomed from all historians, including PhD students. A new section, called Bookshelf, consists of interviews with the authors of new books in history and policy. The first of these interviews was with New South publisher, Phillipa McGuinness, author of The Year Everything Changed: 2001. If people are interesting in contributing, contact Carolyn Holbrook – carolyn.holbrook@deakin.edu.au.
