The AHA is pleased to inform members that the Elsie Refuge (former) in Sydney has been listed on the NSW State Heritage Register. This listing was officially gazetted on 6 September 2024 in recognition of Elsie refuge’s ‘heritage significance to the people of the state of New South Wales’. We welcome the decision to preserve for posterity this important site of social history and gender activism.
